Today I woke up knowing it would be an Awesome day.

I went to the hairdresser to get a change in colour, not dramatic but nice and subtle

While at the hairdressers my husband sent me a text with a parcel that arrived.  One of two I was expecting today and it was some clothes from ASOS

Then 10 minutes later he sent me the photo of my parcel from American through MyUS.com that I've been shopping for and waiting for the last month

Once I finished at the hairdresser I drove over to Chermside as I was hoping to get colour matched at the MAC counter & keeping my fingers crossed the salesperson would be generous enough to give me a sample to try before I spend so much on the product & below is a picture of my colour matching

Not Happy
I walked around Westfield with a head darker than my neck and a very defined brush mark indicating were the foundation stopped and my natural skin came through.  Plus I had bits of brush hair mingled with the foundation both on my nose and above my eyebrows.

If this is what a high end makeup experience is like then I think I'll stick to drug store.  I can't make a decision to buy MAC foundation based on MAC's service.  I've decided to complain to the company but not give the information as to what store because the girl that served me was absolutely lovely & I wouldn't dream of putting the blame on her.  It would be the Australian MAC that aren't generous with the customer & they need to keep a track of there own staff as to there skills in colour matching.

Anyway I didn't realise I looked so silly until I got home and looked in the car mirror so I think I just made a few people that served me giggle, so a good time had by all because I had fun at Chermside.

I called into Bargain City and picked up some really cool Hanging Jewelry Organizers, they're 2 for $3 flocked in black or pink & I choose black.  Haven't worked out were I'll put them but I'm sure I'll find a spot.

I picked up a hair twist thingy & a butterfly hair clamp plus I finally picked up a packet of Shiseido facial cotton pads from David Jones for $6

Picked up some subways and headed home to open my parcels & when I drove into the driveway I could see a parcel sitting in our letterbox.  I just assumed it would be Peter's as I didn't have anymore parcels coming.

Opened up the parcel & thought I don't remember putting the order through to buy these products.

You see going back about a month ago I was on Sleek make-up site adding things to my basket like I usually do with the on-line stores (this save time when they put specials on, as I already have wish lists going) obsessed I know right.  Well this night I must have had a sugar overload and couldn't stay awake so remember just shutting down the computer and not ordering the lovely Shangri-La palette and lip gloss in the colour Rumour.  Well the colour Rumour is sold out so that was disappointing and then I got distracted with  shopping in the American on-line stores for my shopping spree with MyUS.com and forgot about Shangri-La.

It suddenly dawned on me why I was holding this palette, lipglosses, pout paint & 3 by blush kit.  Emily from lala288228 told me that she had ordered me a little something from the Sleek site for my Birthday because I really like the brand & in my mind I was expecting something "little" because Emily is only just on the verge of entering into adulthood & I think has a part time job during her very busy life of HSC, dancing & experiencing life as an 18 year old.  So I am very appreciative of her generosity to me and am so excited to receive products I was so wanting to try.

I will add swatches of these beautiful colours to the Sleek swatch collection I intend to do soon.  I just have to work out the best way of filming swatches lol.

So I think it's a very special day for me to have received wonderful gifts, parcels from abroad, some cool cloths to wear, had my hair done & eaten good for the last few weeks and I feel so good I think I can add an extra day to my working week.  You see I've been sick for awhile and had to stop work for 7 months then have slowly been trying to build my work day back up.  So far I've only made it to 2 days but am doing great so if my work agrees I will be up to 3 days.  WOO HOO more shopping therapy:)♥

I'm going to do an unboxing & blog post on my parcel from the US but it's dark now and hubby has just asked me out on a date.  (because he wants to go to outback jacks I think it's called) so I will do the unboxing tomorrow as I feel a lot of editing and fiddly things will have to be done as I want to give everyone who may be interested, as much info as I can through my experience with using a forwarding postal service in the US.

Bye for now & make sure to enjoy your week :)♥

PS Emily I bet I have an extra item in my haul that you will love & definitely need as an 18 year old starting a new phase of her life.

I built that up good didn't I???   Really I just have something that I bought extra off that was on an amazing special, so I'm going to send it down as I think that you should have it as my celebration of reaching 200 subbies :)♥

Urban Decay  -  REBOUND     build your own palette

This is a great little palette for keeping in your bag or travelling.  It's made of some type of metal (probably aluminium) with plastic insert & has a mirror the size of the lid.

It's very easy to pop your eye shadow pan out of it's individual palette as you just push up from the bottom through the centre, then place it in the bigger palette.  So there is so need to try and rip the pan out from the casing with a nail file or kitchen knife LOL:)♥

Sleek Makeup Haul

Well  I'm really new at this Blogging but thought I would give it a go & see what it is all about.

So recently I agreed to do a swap with another youtuber in Queensland (I'll link the video at the bottom of the page) and we chose to do a winter theme, as here in Australia we are in winter while America & Canada are in summer.  I chose those two countries to mention because they make up the majority of subscribers I have meet through social media so far.  Plus we here in Australia covet their makeup brands and low prices.  I set about finding some great new items that would go with an Aussie Winter and came across a site that was selling Sleek and decided to give the product a go.

Anyway once I decided on Sleek as a brand to try I checked out a few more prices trying to work out the best deal as far as price + postage.  In doing this I noticed a discrepancy in the look of the same palettes from site to site.  So wanting to make sure I got the authentic product I went directly to their site in the UK and ordered some palettes.  It was difficult to hand them over for the giveaway so decided I would have to order some for myself.

This leads me to their newest LIMITED EDITION  Collection

This is the pack the eyeshadow palette comes in, the inside is bright pink, I mention this because I find it very appealing when a product is presented well.  I'm very textural to the extreme and sensitive to strong, overpowering smells which is one of the reasons along with a lot of you out there, that we love to get samples of products before spending our money.

Divine is what I feel about Sleek products that I have tried:)♥

This is the    iCandy    palette released in preparation for the UK Summer 2013 which starts in July

I swatched these colours over a primer and applied them with a brush but for some reason (maybe someone can share with me) they come out more brilliant using my finger.

oooohhhhh  I just tried applying the colours with the sponge applicator that came with the palette, GUESS WHAT they (being the eyeshadows) prefer to be applied using a sponge NOT a brush.  K so maybe because they're mineral based they need a more solid applicator.  I think I remember someone saying to me that when applying mineral foundation use a powder puff.

So I'll add a few new swatches later using a sponge applicator because the Sleek palette is beautifully pigmented.

New Skin Revive

Tester Kit

Sleek is known for it's great range of foundation colours, they have 30 different shades and offer tester kits that have 5 similar colours in each tester kit and there are 6 different kits to choose from.  This kit only cost me $4.50 which I thought was pretty good considering I get to test out the product in five different shades, how awesome is that!

Fair / Light

I'm really impressed with the Sleek makeup range so far and look forward to trying more in their range.  The postage prices have been excellent and I was expecting to wait about a month but it only took 3 weeks.  I never choose the express postage as I'm always trying to save money so it would be pointless if I waisted that money on postage.  So with any package that is coming from overseas I plan on waiting a month and I've rarely been disappointed.  I've had communication with the Sleek site and have got replies to my questions so am very happy to put my third order in with them.

Hope you enjoy my first blog, if you have suggestions please let me know & join up or subscribe or whatever it is that we are suppose to do with blogging.  (I think it might be follow)

Have a great week and happy shopping :)♥
